Dr. P.N.Mahendra, who pledged his life to serve the poor and under priviledged, established Khairabad Eye Hospital in the year 1943 with the aim to provide accessible, affordable and quality eye care services to all. With his dedication, determination and team work of empathetic and enlightened partners, the society enhanced its eye care services not only in the country but globally. In the same manner The Director of Hospital Dr. Manish Mahendra has founded this trust to carry forward the legacy of his grandfather, to serve mankind with utmost dedication and devotion. Mahendra Eye Institute (MEI) and Khairabad Eye Hospital (KEH) is located in the heart of the city of Kanpur at Swaroop Nagar.
(MEI) and Khairabad Eye Hospital (KEH) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to provide complete quality eye care services to everyone with accessibile and affordable expenses using new technologies and high quality products,and an empathetic environment to all.

About Our Director
Dr. Manish Mahendra is the founder and Director of “Mahendra Eye Institute and Khairabad Eye Hospital “
He is a Practicing cataract and refractive surgeon and has performed more than 15,000 Phacoemulsification surgeries including management of complicated cases.
He has been Secretary of Kanpur Ophthalmic Society (KOS) 2011-2012 and was also Vice President of Kanpur Ophthalmic Society (KOS ) 2013-14
He has imparted phacoemulsification training to trainee doctors from all over the world and has trained more than 300 international trainees, mostly from Europe, USA, South America, UAE, Korea, China etc.
He has to his credit Number of National and International presentations which include
